Customer Relationship Manager
Description: This CRM position is for someone who excels at meeting new people and learning about their passions. Inventors and entrepreneurs are often too busy working on their innovations to find time to protect their intellectual property until it’s too late. A great CRM seeks out potential MasterPatent clients and helps them understand the importance of IP protection and the value that MasterPatent can provide.
Responsibilities: Quite simply, bring clients to MasterPatent. Entrepreneurs and inventors can be found in numerous places, such as startup accelerators, hackathons, makerspaces, universities, conferences, tradeshows, coffee shops, and so on. The CRM is responsible for finding these innovators and educating them about MasterPatent’s services.
Requirements: The CRM must be self-motivated, sociable, inspirational, and should be part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem or willing to be involved. Basic knowledge of intellectual property and patents is necessary, for example the different types of patents and the process of getting a patent.
Employment type: This is a commission-based position in which the CRM earns a percentage of fees paid by every client he or she brings to MasterPatent.
Location and hours: Southwest Michigan, for example Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. There are no set hours; We want the CRM to get out and find finding clients rather than hang out in an office.
